What are the requirements to apply for a verified badge on Instagram?
Authentic
An account eligible for verification must represent a real person, entity, or business.
Unique
An account eligible for verification must represent the unique presence of the person or business. You should be reflected as a single individual musician to filter out people who try to verify multiple accounts.
Complete
Your account must be public, filled out profile. A profile picture, an account bio, and at least one post should be on your account when you apply for verification.
Notable
Last but not least, an account eligible for verification must represent a well-known, highly searched person, brand or entity. This might be the most challenging requirement to meet, and thus you should get prepared for it.
How do I request a verified badge for my Instagram profile?
1. Make sure that you're logged in to your Instagram account you're requesting a verified badge for.
2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to your profile.
3. Tap the more options button of three lines in the top right, then tap Settings.
4. Tap Account, then tap Request verification.
5. Enter your full name and provide the required form of identification (e.g. government-issued photo ID or official business documents).
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
